Handball information
Handball is one of the most popular sports in Germany. In this team sport, two with each seven players compete against each other. They have the goal to throw the handball in the opponent's goal. Handball is a typical indoor sport, although there are also field handball and beach handball as variants in the open air.
Since 1928, handball is an Olympic sport. Since 1966, the Handball Bundesliga men's top division in Germany - shortly thereafter, the women's Bundesliga was founded. Here, the German handball champion is determined.
