Undertaker is a service profession. His job is to bring the deceased to the cemetery. Since 2003, Undertaker is an apprentice in Germany. As a mortician in Germany you need a trade license and must funeral law, grave use and cemetery regulations into account.
Funeral director services
Typical services of the funeral director include: transfer of the deceased person from the place of death, hygienic care of the dead, cosmetic treatment and clothing, embedding, organization of burial with funeral service and burial, earth burial, coffin counseling, cremation in the crematorium and burial in an urn. Special burial types (eg sea funeral) are possible depending on cemetery order and funeral law.
