Family court information
The family court is affiliated with the District Court. It takes care of decisions in family matters. This is based on the law on the procedure in Family matters and in the matters of voluntary jurisdiction (FamFG).
Family matters include matrimonial matters such as divorce, child matters, adoption matters, ancestry and life partnership matters. In this respect, the Family Court is also responsible for legal family matters on the basis of the Courts Law (GVG).
