Disabled sports are mainly known for the Paralympic Games, the Special Olympics and Deaflympics. Popular are the Special Olympics, in which people with intellectual disabilities or multiple disabilities can participate.

Well-known disabled sports are seated football, e-hockey, archery, paracycling and sledge ice hockey. Recognized Special Olympics sports are badminton, cricket and weightlifting.
