TV stations information
As part of broadcasting, television is arguably the most popular mass medium in Germany. The term television covers public and private sector television.
Since 1935, there has been a regular television programme in Germany, and to the mass medium with increasing numbers of spectators, television developed in the 1950s. After the introduction of colour television, the number of spectators increased considerably. In general, today, there is a distinction between the entertainment programmes and the so-called educational television, which also includes the latest news coverage.
