Hockey is a team sport. It is popular especially in Central Europe. In hockey, two teams of eleven players each try to get as many balls as possible into the opposing goal.
One year after hockey became an Olympic sport, the German Hockey Federation (DHB) was founded. In Germany, around 80,000 hockey players are organized in about 400 hockey clubs. Particularly popular is the hockey league in the hall or as field hockey.
Hockey services
Hockey is a team sport. Each team consists of field players and goalkeeper. Well known variants of hockey are ice hockey, roller hockey, inline hockey and unicycle hockey.
For ice hockey you usually need sports shoes, hockey sticks, protectors, gloves, pants, clothing, ball and possibly a goal. It is advisable to inform yourself in advance in the hockey club about the necessary equipment, or to watch a Bundesliga match.
