The German Boccia, Boule and Pétanque Association (DBBPV) is the German umbrella organization for the ball sports. This is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation. This shows that the ball sports are not just typical disciplines in seniors sports, but are respected competitive sports. One of the member associations of the DBBPV is the Boccia Bund Germany.
Ball sports services
Boules and bocce clubs are popular in Germany. Boules are usually played as lyonnaise or pétanque. At Boule Lyonnaise (Sport Boule) two teams try to get as close as possible to the target balls with their own balls. Boule Pétanque describes rather the leisure-style petanque.
Boccia is an Italian variant of the boules game, which is also part of the Olympic program. The aim of precision sports is to place your own balls as close as possible to a smaller target ball.
